AFTER MONTHS OF PREP, MY P.O.S. SYSTEM IS NOW FINISHED!

After 2 months of intense researching and rigorous preparations, whew! finally it's over. I just thought I can't make it, but there you are, A FULL TOUCHSCREEN RESTOBAR POINT OF SALE SYSTEM (POS) , from administration mode to cashiering mode and included in the system are the waiter and staff payrolls.

It was first handed to a professor from STI whom I personally referred into but after some series of advance reports somehow stood down because of the conditions set by the POS itself. On mid-November, my boss asked me to contact again other sources that led me to tap the services of a certain software company based in Cainta, Rizal. At first, my conversation with them was good but after talking to our managers, learned the cost and setting up of the POS system, the project discontinued.

But on Dec. 5 last year, me and my boss had a talked about the necessity of the project. And suddenly she poked me this, "Bakit kaya hindi nalang ikaw ang gumawa, diba may alam ka rin sa programming?" . Then , I had a re-think, I had done a Library Management System way back when I was working in PULSE Researched but It was done using DOS based system not the new WINDOWS . At yon ay 1998 pa. But after the flashed back I said yes, I will try, pero ang sabi ko hindi agad-agad matatapos yon. And my boss said ok yes, just do it.

To tell you the truth, making an application and system that is very new to you was damn not easy. When I started to do things? Gosh! it's really harder than i thought. And after some bruising surf and punching the keyboard just to find the functions i needed in the program? it made me realized that the thought of 'harder than i thought' was really pretty harder than i thought! It kept me lessen for a while my other activities just to finished the job. Bit by bit, functions by functions, debug by debug and my world isn't going round.

Finally, It was only on March 10 when my reports was finished and ready for submission . I took a meeting with my boss and planned for a rehearsal of the POS next week. She then asked me to be with her this coming March 17 to Cebu, take note, to CEBU dahil doon gagamitin yun POS. Whew again! got me nervous and excited because I  never thought that the project will be installed first in a far place like Cebu?...

And guess what? My next project will be building a WEBSITE!...
